Fresh Start Counseling

As a Social Worker, Rick Woodcock has been helping children, families, and individuals make positive changes in their lives since 1998.  After obtaining his Master's Degree from The University of Maine, Rick completed two years of supervised clinical experience at a community mental health agency before sitting for his nationally certified licensing exam.  In 2004, Rick earned the highest level of licensure available to Clinical Social Work Therapists in the State of Maine.  This advanced, independent level of licensure first led to Rick working as a clinical supervisor/team leader for other clinicians in mental health clinic/community-based settings.  Rick has also managed the outpatient operations of a large, hospital-based substance abuse treatment center.  In 2008, Rick opened his private Fresh Start Counseling practice.



Fresh Start Counseling is located at Kimball Health Center and is open
Tuesday - Friday, from 9:00am - 7:00pm.

Fresh Start Counseling accepts most major credit/debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express (including cards linked to a HSA/FSA). We can also accept payments via several electronic commerce platforms (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App Pay, Afterpay, and ACH bank transfers).  For uninsured patients, fees may be charged on a sliding scale.  We can also work with most employer-sponsored EAP plans.
